Background and Identification
The Acer Aspire R7-572-6423 is an updated model of the Acer Aspire R7. It features better processing power, more RAM, better touch technology, and some models have a bigger hard drive. This model does retain the defining feature of this laptop series though, the Ezel hinge screen that allows the user to utilize the screen in several different positions. This Ezel hinge also hides the model number and device information from the manufacturer, which is located on the inside of the hinge.
This device also features an inverted keyboard layout, putting the touchpad above the keyboard. Ostensibly, this is to keep the keyboard from being covered by the screen while it is in Ezel mode. However, this does render the touchpad useless while in that mode.
The Acer Aspire R13 has since been released, and offers a variety of improvements over this and other Aspire R7 models, such as a dual hinge for the screen and a return to the traditional keyboard/touchpad layout.
