Features vary by model, but in general, the APC Back-UPS has:

  • Power: Offers a power rating of 1400 VA (Volt-Amperes) and 700 Watts (W).
  • AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulation): It is equipped with Automatic Voltage Regulation, which automatically stabilizes the input power (boosting low voltage or trimming high voltage) without resorting to the battery, extending its battery lifespan.
  • Runtime: Provides sufficient runtime (varying based on the connected load) to save data and safely shut down devices during a blackout. For example, it offers approximately 2-3 minutes at full load or over 10 minutes at half load.
  • Connectivity: Includes a USB port for managing and monitoring the UPS via software from a PC, as well as surge protection for the telephone/data line (on some models).
