There are a few things that can cause this. First, I'd make sure your charger isnt damaged. So, no frayed wires, or cuts in the cable. Make sure the light on the charging brick lights up, if there is one. I'd try another outlet in your house just in case. I'd also try another charging cable if you can find one or you might have to buy one.
