Why isn't my iPod touch connecting to Itunes or any computer?

meg, try to charge it on a AC adapter first. If it does not charge, start by cleaning the dock connector. As always, check for any obvious damage, like broken, bend, or corroded pins. Also clean it with some isopropyl alcohol and/ or a couple of puffs of compressed air. Make sure that you have a good working cable. If all that checks out okay, I would start with replacing the battery. Use this guide to change it. Not an easy job, but doable. When you have it apart to change the battery, also check for any obvious damage, like broken/missing components and corrosion. Reevaluate after for any further damage. BTW your computer may not recognize it because of a dead battery, and the USB port not supplying enough power. Hope this helps, good luck.
