Released November 2020, the PS5 console features vastly upgraded visuals and an innovative new Dualsense controller. The space-age black-and-white color scheme is a noticeable departure from PlayStation designs of the past.

Non Functioning USB's

Hello,

I got in a PS5 with EDM-010 motherboard.

The USB's are in pristine condition but, not a single one connects to the motherboard when console posts to White Light.

That's right the console will turn on and post to White Light. This is supposed to be where you connect a Controller and press the PS5 button to connect controller and start the system to next point.

When I did turn the console on it kept saying and posting that to many USB devices are connected.

Anybody have an idea?

Thanks

Hi!

Hopefully this answer can help you too: My front USB port not reading any of my DualSense

Did you tried with a USB-C to USB-A cable? Or a USB-C to USB-C cable? I would try both, just to test.

Otherwise, replacing the USB ports would be the first test. It could be the USB controller, but this requires soldering…

Please let us know how it goes!

Yes I’ve tried different combinations of cables and also different dual sense controllers.

The cables and controllers work on other PS5 consoles.

Still stumped.

Hmm.. yes, you also tried the USB ports on the back, right? If the same issue occurs there, I think it’s the USB controller that need to be replaced :(… you can try using a different USB board and see how that works out! But I think this is not it..
