Digitizer non-functional. Pens won't work on tablet

Cintiq 21UX 2nd Gen

Graphics tablet with display. Identified by model number DTK-2100/k.

I got this tablet from somebody who said that "the digitizer was broken".

Taking it home, buttons work, screen works perfectly. Used correct driver, so I think it's a hardware issue.

Looking for anyone's suggestions on how i could replace or repair this.

Sadly not much info exist online about repairing the device.

It's not a special case though, Reports go back around 4 years ago of the digitizer not working.
