I was the "photographer" for my husband's family reunion this past weekend. I did not have a memory card with me so I let the photos go to the internal storage. When I tried to transfer them to the memory card later, I mistakenly deleted them by clicking on format. I am in big trouble with the family. Does anyone know if these can be recovered?

If you haven't taken any pictures since you accidentally formatted the internal storage there's a good chance that you can recover them.
All formatting does is to erase the storage index. This details the location of where all the images are in the storage and not the actual image data itself.
If you have taken pictures since then some images may be lost as their data might have been overwritten by the new image data.
You will need to purchase recovery software to do this (example only - search online to find recover data software options that suit you).
