iPod restore won't complete

My 4th generation 30gb ipod shows an icon to plug into the wall after I did a restore from iTunes and I plugged into a wall charger that is not the firewire charger now the restore won't complete. I have 4 ipods that I replaced the batteries, all show the plugin icon.

The charger I used always charged the batteies before.

Will getting a Apple firewire wall charger cure this problem? Please help, I have four paper weights that shouldn't be.

John Jenkins, that is absolutely correct. I have a bunch of those and the absolutely need the firewire AC adapter to finish the restore process. It will resolve your problem.
