Why is my phone indicating that... Battery temperature is too hot... your phone will shutdown in a minute? Yet it doesn't shutdown but it keeps bringing the same message over and over again

Can you please update your post with what phone model you have? And does this happen often or only when you use the phone a lot or for a long time?
