Trackpad won't click or respond to clicks

Touch still registers, but clicking gives no feedback and doesn't register.

What is the full model number of the laptop as shown on the product info label on the bottom of the laptop?

Hi @alexzehooman,

Is it both touchpad buttons that don't work or only one, left or right?

Check in Device Manager, that the latest touchpad drivers are installed in the laptop. (click on Select the operating system version (either Win11 version) → Submit → Driver-keyboard, mouse and input devices(2)

To get to Device Manager, press the Win key and the x key (both together) and then click on the Device Manager link in the menu box that opens.

Depending on your model they could be either Elan Precision Touchpad driver Ver. 22.2.41.1 Rev.A Jul 18, 2023 or Synaptics precision Touchpad driver Ver. 19.5.35.95 Rev.A Jul 18, 2023.

To view what driver version is installed, when in Device Manager go to Mice and other pointing devices → right click on (select appropriate touchpad i.e Elan or Synaptics) → Properties → Drivers
