screen went black but still worked, I didn't know what do

I dropped my Samsung galaxy A20 back in 2021 when I dropped it the screen went black but still worked, I didn't know what do so It was just laying somewhere in the house. 3/4 yrs later I found it and the screen was cracked and it kind of worked but the screen was still black. Now I don't know what to do.

The obvious and most likely solution is to replace the screen, as it has likely been damaged in the fall.

Note that it's in French but used with the Chrome browser's translation feature, it is quite usable no matter what your first language is.
