Can't establish secure connection to server

So I have a few older MacBook Pro's that all have the same issue: Safari (and now palemoon as well) can't connect to webpages or browse the internet.

Safari gives the following error message: Can't establish secure connection to server.

and Pale moon gives this one: SSL_ERROR_RX_MALFORMED_SERVER_HELLO

I was wondering if there was anything I can do to regain internet functionality?

Thanks in advance :)

Based on what I found it can be as easy as changing a few settings

As far as I can see from the comments these settings can mess with server connection.

in about:config
Changing: security.tls.hello_downgrade_check to false security.osclientcerts.autoload to true security.tls.version.max to 3
