Hi Lucy,

Assuming the Moto G Stylus is built like other phones and tablets that use a stylus, it actually has not one, but two separate digitizers built into the screen; one for your finger and one for the stylus. I'm assuming the touch screen is working fine, which means that digitizer is good, but for some reason the second digitizer, the one for the stylus, is not working.

When we run into that situation, the first thing we normally do is recheck our work. It is often easy to not quite get those connectors plugged in 100% correctly and you get some weird behaviors as a result; sometimes the touch screen doesn't work, sometimes the display is funny or non-functional and sometimes the stylus doesn't work.

It sounds like you're saying someone else did the replacement for you; if that's the case you'll need to take it back to them and let them know the repair wasn't done correctly since the stylus should be working after a screen replacement.

If, on the other hand, you did the screen yourself, then you'll need to open the phone back up and disconnect and reseat the screen connector or connectors. While you have it unplugged, check for any bent or broken pins with a magnifying glass and a bright light, then before you reconnect it, clean both sides with 90% or higher concentration isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. Give it a minute to dry then plug it back in and retest to see if it's working.

Either way, once you have more information be sure to come on back and let us know what you found. Good luck!
