Calculator turns off while typing and won't turn on unless I reset

The device turns off while typing and won't turn on unless I reset, clearing out the work. It still calculates after I try a few times but I lose a lot of time typing it in over and over again.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi @gibby31668

Try replacing the battery in the calculator and check if that resolves the problem.

Here's the ifixit Texas Instruments TI-30 XS Multiview Battery Replacement guide, that shows what to do.

The battery type is a CR2032 Lithium coin cell battery, which is commonly available e.g. supermarkets. Be sure to insert the replacement battery the correct way i.e. +ve on top as marked on the battery when reassembling.
