Make sure that your computer is plugged directly into a wall outlet instead of in an extension or splitter. If it still does not work, you may have a faulty RAM module. Some laptops may not turn on without RAM inserted, as they do a hardware check on boot.

To check and/or replace the RAM, turn your laptop onto its back. You will likely see some plastic covers secured by screws. Unscrew the screws and use a flathead screwdriver or something similar to pry the covers off (kind of like battery covers on TV remotes). Do you see something that looks a little like this?

If so, push the metal clips on the side out, and the RAM stick should pop up. Take it straight out of it's socket. Put it back in, making sure it is seating securely and well. Try to power on the laptop again. If it still does not work, try buying a new RAM card. make sure it is the correct type, which should be 4GB DDR4 SDRAM.

Try this and see if it works. If it does not, there are more things we can try, but this is a good first step.
