Can't upgrade from macOS Lion 10.7.5 / Fails to load anything

I just recently fixed this mac- and it will not upgrade to either mountain lion, el capitan, or sierra. my problems I have encountered are:

  1. Safari does not load most webpages
  2. Everything that uses internet is slow
  3. no updates are listed in the app store.
  4. I've got a windows PC, and I got this mac to work using hackintosh flashed to a USB, so should I download hackintosh ML or EC? I am super confused and want to get this done between 11/21/23-11/26/23. please help!

You really need to create a bootable OS installer with the last supported version of OS this system can support which is macOS High Sierra (10.13.6)

So from a working Mac system format a 32GB thumb drive with GUID and HFS+ file system, then download from here How to download and install macOS putting in onto the thumb drive. Then follow this to convert it to a bootable installer Create a bootable installer for macOS. Now with this in hand plug it into your MacBook Air system wipe the drive using Disk Utility from within it and then install a fresh copy of the OS.

That should do it!
