Computer recognizes the speaker but won't charge
- will make the charging sound when plugged in then make the unplugged sound shortly after
I'm thinking it's a battery problem, or something got damaged when it dropped (like fell from 3 feet dangling on the micro USB cable)
Is this a good question?

@branm Are you trying to charge the speaker from a computer or power adapter? I would recommend trying to charge the speaker from a power adapter?

It applies just the same anywhere else. I just felt it was important to note that the computer can still recognize it.

@branm Do you have a multimeter so we can measure the voltage of the battery?
