Restart Your Printer A restart clears any code that is stuck in a non-working state. So if you haven't already, try this easy fix first to see if it solves the problem: Press the power button on your printer to turn it off. Unplug the printer power cable and wait for 3 minutes. Plug the power cable back into the wall outlet. Restart your printer and try printing a page.
