Charging port won't work
my charging port will not work anymore. i have tried cleaning it our with compressed air and it still will not work

Hi Slade,
Assuming you've already tried a different charger and cable, then you're pretty much down to having to replace the charging port. It's not at all uncommon for the pins inside to get bent or damaged causing the port to fail. The repair itself is fairly straight-forward for an iPhone. Unfortunately iFixit hasn't gotten a chance to create that guide yet, but the Spanish site Nadie Me Llama Gallina has just what you need.

You can buy a good quality replacement part right here on iFixit though. It comes in various colors so the inside of the port matches your phone case, although in practice any color will work; it's strictly cosmetic.

Don't forget to pick up a sheet of precut adhesive to glue the screen back on when you're done! I usually get a couple - they're easy to mess up and very unforgiving so it's a good idea to have a spare on hand just in case.
