I recently upgraded the SSD in my Steam deck and now it won't turn on.

To be more clear I got my steam deck recently and the first thing I did was install a 1tb SSD. I didn't charge it first just right out of the box started the upgrade because the guide said I should make sure battery life was below a certain point to avoid hazards. After doing the install, I plugged the steam deck into its charger and let it charge while I found a flash drive and did the os boot setup. This was about an hour and a half of it on the charger before I was ready I unplugged the charger and tried turning the device on and it won't start. On the charger it will boot to bios just fine. The led next to the charging port lights up on the charger for about a minute before going dark. I'm not sure if I've made some monumental mistake or am just missing something obvious.

I seem to have not pushed the power cable back in far enough during the SSD installation. Nice to know it was user error and not a big issue that would mean I don't have access to it for a while still feel pretty stupid though.
