broken glass / only turns on with the charger

my iphone fell into a glass of water with the charger connected. i remove the charger and screen stayed on, now it only turnson if its connected to the wall and tells me to connect it to itunes.

u think is the battery? how i can fixed it??

Options

First I would clean the phone, use this as a guide It was written for a 3G but still applies to your phone. After that replace the battery and re-evaluate. Right now it most certainly sounds like the battery....
