Phone won't start after the "yellow triangle" on the charge screen

Hi! So I've dropped my Samsung Galaxy A12 into a pool recently, turned it off immediately and dissasembled it and left it to dry for 48 hours. After that I put it back together and plugged it in for charging and the screen with battery percentage appeared with a yellow triangle under it, so I unplugged it and tried turning it on and it doesnt seem to work at all anymore. Nothing happens when I plug it in or when I hold the power button. Is it completely dead now or is there something I can do? Thanks

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

The yellow triangle on the screen means the charging port needs to be replaced. If it's not turning on at all it can mean that the battery was shot due to the water damage. If you have an amp meter reader you can hook it up to that to see if it's pulling any power at all.

Maybe, I probably plugged it in too soon, maybe theres still water in it somewhere... Thanks for the answer ill try changing the battery tomorrow and see if it helps. Or do you think the new battery could be damaged if the charging port is no good?

@jmartic03 If the port is no good then it could short the battery. I think you're right on that one, wait to let it dry out more and then try to charge it again. I've seen that work with some devices I've worked on.
