My Wii U Gamepad isn't turning on...

My Wii U game pad won't turn on for some mysterious reasons, the back was... Ruined to say the least and the gamepad functioned perfectly fine. Recently it just stopped working I'm not sure why but I'm really attached to it but I don't know how to fix it.
