The broken tip of an headphone cable can be removed from a headphone jack using either a special tool made for that purpose (GripStick Headphone Plug Extraction Tool) or a variety of DIY methods using household items like disposable pens or plastic aerosol can straws, depending on your access to the broken tip in your device’s jack.

This video details many of the DIY techniques for extracting the broken tip, primarily using household items like the ink cartridge of a disposable pen to capture the broken tip: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=y0hncoJW8M...

Take a Bic pen and remove the internals trim off the clear end by about 5mm with scissors. Push it into the headphone port and you should feel it click as it goes onto the plug. Twist it back and forth whilst gently pulling. The jack should come out. If the black plastic insulator is still on the plug use a needle to remove it so the refill will go on the plug.
