Computer won't turn on

Charging port was loose and after watching a video I soldered the loose port hoping it would give a good connection. Now I don't get a green light when plugging the charging cord into the port and the computer will not come on. Tested continuity on charger and that is good, tested on charging port and got nothing. So I'm not sure if the port is bad or the motherboard. Not sure what else to test. I purchased this computer in Nov. of 2021

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hello

Take a look at the steps needed to find a short circuit with a multimeter

Check inside the charging port for any obvious unsafe conditions,

such as short circuit betwen positive and negative connector.

Block Image

You have to touch the black probe multimeter to the negative and the red probe to the positive chargir port.

if you are seeing a value of 1 or OL, then there is a short circuit in your electrical circuit.

clean your solder with a solder wick and do the test again with a multimeter, is it still short or not

if you seing a certain resistance value other than OL, means your charging port has no problem,

the problem is other part on motherboard

Send it to a professional to get service handling assistance.

good luck
