Changing the logic board to change my ESN?!?

I have an iPhone 4 16gb with verizon, i would like to change the ESN, so i can put it on my account and file insurance on my old one to get a replacement. I Work for verizon, so i know the esn is clean on both phones, but i was wondering if by switching the iPhones logic board it would change the esn of the whole phone!

the ESN/IMEI is the logicboard. You can switch them all you like and it is still on the board. I don't like fraudsters, you push up the premiums for the honest people in the world. If you want a new phone or to get a phone fixed then do it the right way.
