TV Won't Turn On Vizio V655-G9

Removed the power board and found a burnt spot under a capacitor. Should a protective coating be applied before replacing the board?

@bryanlay maybe it's just my old people vision but I do not see any burnt spot. The power board should never touch the casing. Yes, you could apply some coating, but the issue might actually be that this spot originated from the component itself. We would have to see the burnt spot on the board as well as the area on the metal, where you think it may have touched. There should then also be a charred area.
