Clock won't show the right time

Hello! I have this ihome and the clock won't stay at the right time. I can set it manually but minutes later the ihome clock stop following the time. Like, right now its 19:21 and the ihome clock is showing 18:46. I've been changing the clock to the right time but it always gets later and later. I've already changed the battery to new ones but the problem persists. Do you guys know what's happening? Is there some problem inside the ihome? Sorry for my English, it isn't my mother tongue, hope you guys could understand my problem.

@zkx9bb9cd7apq3t does it always show the wrong time no matter if connected to AC or battery? Yes, your question is absolutely understandable :-)

What is your domestic power source? Both voltage and the AC cycles?

Some clocks use the cycles to base its beat so drifting AC cycles can create havoc. But besides a clean cycle, the waveform may not be clean enough which often makes larger time errors.

Besides the AC line, the clock can have a crystal for its time base. This circuit could be failing.

This might be fixable but it will take some effort to trace out the logic and replace the bad component.

My house voltage is 120V and I'm using the original power supply. I tried to use another power cable with the same necessary specs and it didn't change a thing, clock still wrong. As you said, probably is something wrong with the circuit
