won't turn on after "repair"

Basically, I have this iPod touch 2nd generation, I took it to this one guy to fix it because i didn't think i could. Well, the back light on it was really really dim, and the guy said he could easily fix it. About a week later i picked it up from him and the ipod would not turn on. So now im left wondering a.What did this guy do to my ipod and b.how do i fix this!?!

any help would be lovely.

try charging on the wall charger for 1 hour, may be a very dead battery, also will help to troubleshoot. Either way I'd go and complain very loudly to Mr Repairman and get him to fix his bad repair!

Options

First guess would be that maybe he didn't put it back together properly, maybe a connection not re-attached properly.

If you plug it into your Mac or to the wall does it signal that its charging?
