Replacing my iPhone X screen but it's different than videos show

HELP I'm trying to replace my iphone x screen that i purchased back in 2017 (model a1901) but i'm having a hard time figuring out why my screen is not the same as those shown on youtube videos and parts replacement sites. Anyone know where I can get this screen? All videos show it's a long cable and the screen simply opens like a book, this bad boy says nope. I figure if i can find a replacement it'll also help on how to take this apart

Hi @paranoia

Here's the ifixit iPhone X Screen Replacement guide that may help.

Also ifixit sells the screen as an individual part or as part of a kit. iPhone X Screen

Thanks Jayeff, I'm thinking I didnt heat the phone enough to remove the stickyness. This is what caused the top ribbon (camera, speaker) to stay stuck to the bottom of the case.

I am having the same issue. I can't tell how you fixed it though.

Oh my god lol. You have removed the screen from the screen frame and not the whole screen. If you look the plastic frame is still attached to the phone. Insert your opening tool between the frame and plastic and work round to loosen it. Then you’ll be able to disconnect everything.
