Won’t boot after trackpad replacement

My MacBook wouldn’t boot into normal OSX always in safe mode with trackpad and keyboard not working…replaced trackpad. Will power up now but immediately shuts down. Any ideas?

I would see what the onboard diagnostics tells you. Restart your system and press the D key to enter. Let us know what the error is. If needed use a USB keyboard if yours fails to respond.

I tried several combinations didn’t work….will display logo but then shuts down without booting.

@michaelgruhlke - Is the charger plugged in so the system is powered? Is it the correct charger and cable?

Hello…thanks. Yes I’m using the apple charger and cable that came with the laptop; wondering if the ribbon cable not fully connected? Should the connection at the trackpad show any metal? I have a 2020 MacBook Pro two thunderbolts A2289.
