My original DS won't keep a charge.

Just a got an original DS, and when I plug in the charger cable, the orange light turns on for a second or two and then goes off. And not because the DS is fully charged either because it won't turn on. What should I do to fix this?

Oddmegaman9 9 first check and possibly replace the battery. It is entirely possible that it will no longer hold/accept a charge. After that, you need to check your charger to make sure that it provides proper voltages. Then you charging port. Make sure there is no debris, corrosion or bend pins on it. If all of that checks out okay, you will need to disassemble your DS and check the charging port connection to the circuit board and check the overall traces of your board. Use this guide Nintendo DS Main Circuit Board Replacement to get there. Post a couple of pictures of what your main board looks like so we can try and help you further. It is also possible hat this is happening because of other damage to the DS and it does not allow it to turn on. So, check the flex cables, connectors etc. as wella s the LCD. Just out of curiosity, has it ever worked for you. Do you know as a fact that you purchased a working model.Adding images to an existing question
