I can't open my DVD tray.

Samsung DVD-P231 DVD Player Progressive Scan Digital Video

My DVD tray will not open. I have it connected correctly to my television. I have used the remote and the buttons directly on the DVD player. The display says no disc. I have removed the top cover from the DVD player but I'm not sure what to do from here.

@avocado567 When you press the eject button, do you hear any sounds?

@avocado567 try it again with the top cover off. Post some pictures of what this now looks like so we can try to identify the drive and find a way to fix the drive. Adding images to an existing question

Does it take any disks, has it ever worked for you?
