My Dyson works great when upright but doesn't suck well on the floor.

WHen It's upright the hose works fine, but when running (normal use) it seems to not have good vacuum. Is there a seal that's possibly broken? Where are the most common failures?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi @nixtechguy

Most of the time the bottom hose will have a issue if it’s not got suction when coming out of the upright position

Check the hose in the picture below

Block Image

Check that it’s seated correctly and that there aren’t any cracks in

Also try not to let it go once it was been pulled out(pulls towards you to unlatch)as they can hide away if your not careful

It you cans see any let me know by commenting on my answer and we can further look into things

Hopefully this helps

Any questions please ask

Thanks:-)
