Turns off when the upper screen/lid is touched

About a month ago, i noticed that when i close my DSI Xl, without actually turning it off, it powers off instead of going to sleep mode, and recently it became worse while playing any game when i even slightly touch or move the upper screen, it turns off, its really frustrating.

since this model is known for some "ribbon cable trouble" - i would say that the ribbon cable from the upper screen is faulty.

that's why the dsi turns off when you close it or touch the lid

you could try the steps "oldturkey03" wrote: CLICK ME

but i'm pretty sure that it's the ribbon cable - that means that the upper lcd needs to be replaced
