I need help factory resetting my TV

So, I bought a 32inch LG TV off of a auction. I did not know it’s a hospitality TV until I realized some of the settings are disabled and the smart apps are disabled, which is not a big deal because I hooked up a Roku and it works fine. I would really like to know if anyone knows how to reset the tv or get the full functionality back. I figured out that it’s in hotel mode because when I hooked up a tv antenna, a hotel screen popped up. I have went online and found that the pressing menu button for 5 seconds and entering a code did not work. Please help.

@bh_j39200 since this will be a commercial version we definitely need to have the complete model number for your TV. Those menu‘s are a PITA ;-)

@bh_j39200 those can be locked to whatever hotel had it before. I would suggest that you check the different ways for a reset from here Not going to be easy if the code was changed. There are also quite a few YouTube videos like this that deal with the same issues.

I tried all of those solutions. The YouTube videos suggest pressing the menu button for 5 seconds and entering “1105” that has not worked. So I did some more digging, if I replaced the motherboard in the TV would that get rid of everything?

@bh_j39200 it might since that is where the menu chip sits on. I would also try to see if there is some sort of firmware update you could try for this. The code is most likely not working if the previous owner changed it to their own.

If nothing else you can always use the display etc. and get a universal driver board for the display. You would not necessarily have a "smart" TV but you would have one that works for you without those menus etc.

@oldturkey03 so the only thing I found on google was do it in settings. But I can’t connect the tv to the internet because the setting is disabled. I guess there is not a way to download the update on a flash drive from a computer is there? The TV has a USB port. I might just replace the motherboard if nothing else, I found some pretty cheap ones on the internet.

@bh_j39200 looks like hotel IT team did a good job locking their TV's down. You may just have to go ahead with a different inexpensive main board.
