My instax mini 9 won't turn on (yes I've replaced the batteries)

As the title says, my instax mini 9 will not turn on. I push the button to eject the lens, and normally a red light flashes by the view finder until the camera is ready to go. Earlier today I ejected the lens as normal, however the red light doesn't turn on. Neither do the lights on the front of the camera

At first I thought the batteries must be dead so I replaced them, but the camera will still not turn on. I have been traveling with it in a small backpack the past couple of days, so it's possible I knocked it around too much and damaged it, but there is no outward damage to the camera, so I'm unsure. Also, the 12 month warranty has long since expired, so i don't think i can send it in to fujifilm to have it fixed. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
