My iPhone won't restore or update after being disabled error 2015

I forgot my password and my phone is disabled so I tried using an iMac updated to the latest gen to restore and update it and it didn’t work showing me “The iPhone “iPhone” could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (2015).” Also used a windows laptop. FYI, My battery level last checked was at 88% and it may be lower, does this change anything?

The repair itself seems to function, the screen shows apple and connect so the whole computer should work. With updating it by MacBook Pro it gives an error very similar to the one above "The iPhone “iPhone” could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (9). 1304.FFFF". Does anyone know what it means and perhaps know what can be done? Tnx!

Hi bogbog,

From what I have found, you can try,

  1. Updating iTunes to the newest version
  2. Making sure the iPhone is plugged directly into the computer and not through a hub or keyboard
  3. Restarting both your computer and your iPhone
  4. Checking security software by updating, changing, or removing it.
  5. Retry the update or restore the iPhone
  6. Using a different device that has iTunes or is a Mac

Try putting the phone into dfu mode rather than restore mode.
