Device won't turn on and won't charge

It started to freeze when I was playing music and I just had to let the battery run out and then it would charge and work again. The last time the screen turned off, but the music still played, but it wouldn’t charge or turn on again after. Nothing happens when I hold the power button on and hold the reset button. Wondering if the motherboard or battery is cooked?
