Suddenly can't boot; all I get is an AP Fastboot Flash Mode screen

Device turned froze and turned off spontaneously. Get a bootloader screen that says that the device didn’t start up successfully. Use the Software Repair Assistant on computer to repair your device. Also says that it failed to validate boot image. Scrolling through different screens. Downloaded a Motorola utility, but it doesn’t recognize the device. Says it reports being model 000000000000000 (and more zeroes). Shopping for a new one, anyway within a year it’ll be obsolete, but wondering what happened. It has had a few falls and since a couple of days ago feels like something is loose inside.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Likely a dead eMMC chip, if you've written a lot of data or flashed many ROMs it could have degraded to rapidly. The Nexus 5, Nexus 4 etc show practically the same symptoms when the flash chip is dead so one cam assume it's that.
