Radio antannia is broke and needs replaced. How?

My radio antannia for my car is broke. and i need to know how to change my radio attania so i can replace it? My last one was electric. when i turned on the car the antania would automatically move up and when i shut off the car the antannia would fold down. can any one help and send me instructions on how to remove the broken one and put a new one in. and also would a universal one work? or does it have to be electric like the old one? and if a universal one would work can it be spliced onto the wires from the old one?

Rose, you could use a Universal fender mount antenna. The antenna plug to the radio will be standard. You can also purchase a direct replacement for your Kia for about $170. It will have the right electrical hook up. Here is a pretty good write up about how it is done. You can also sign up here and receive free assistance with your Kia.
