Fans run high - Apple Hardware Test error: 4SNS/400000001: tn1d--1.000

I noticed that one day after I had my macbook plugged up to a external monitor, my fans were running pretty high, it wasn't hot or anything though. I unplugged the MacBook from the external monitor and turned it off for a little bit, but now after about 5 days the fan still runs off and on, sometimes even when the laptop is idle. Could this because I iinstalled an hard drive but didn't have the side screws installed? I noticed that when I put my original hard drive back in, the fan calmed down a bit but ocassionally would turn back on at high speeds (5400 and below), when I had my other hard drive in it would get all the way to 6000 rpm. Could that be the problem? Also, I don't live close to a Apple store and I no longer have phone support, my warranty ends Nov. 1 and I would like to get this fixed without having to contact apple. Thanks.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

On the original hd I installed 10.6.8, on the other hard drive I was on LIon 10.7.1, it was working fine until a couple days ago. I normally don't use a lot of programs... Just word, safari/firefox, iTunes. I've installed Flash Frozen because I though the problem was probably flash.. guess not. When I was looking at the system log i did notice this:

Sep 29 01:29:15 Sequoia-Murrays-MacBook KernelEventAgent[31]: tid 00000000 received event(s) VQ_LOWDISK, VQ_VERYLOWDISK (516)

Sep 29 01:51:03 Sequoia-Murrays-MacBook configd[13]: PMConnection IPConfiguration com.apple.powermanagement.applicationresponse.slowresponse 1376 ms

Sep 29 01:56:24 Sequoia-Murrays-MacBook configd[13]: PMConnection AirPort configd plug-in com.apple.powermanagement.applicationresponse.slowresponse 1393 ms

I usually have it on my lap, but i do use a fan cooler occasionally.
