Touch Bar dead won't come on after display replacement

I replaced my 2018 13” MacBook Pro (A1989 EMC3214) screen which I bought on eBay stating its an exact match by a guy that sells them. Like a lot of these people on that site.

Questioned and stumped. I have No Touch Bar nothing lights up or functions and yes I did reset SMC & NVRAM. I also called Apple to remote in and went to Apple and I got no where.

I figured I was very careful 1st time ever to do this and I did not disconnect cable off touch bar but heard that Apple has a block on 3rd party replacements?

Is there anything on the replacement display that controls the touch bar?

Newbie is me for sure HELP ANYBODY I didn't have a ESC key is I assigned one on keyboard that was the biggest issue having the touch bar.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I would go back to the supplier of your display as something doesn't sound right here. I've replaced a few 13" & 15" Touch Bar displays and I have not encountered messing up the touch bar. Are you sure you followed the guide correctly? did you disable Auto Boot before doing anything and well as disconnect the battery?

Did you use a proper ESD practices? Static can damage things!

The only issue I've faced is True Tone not working after replacing the display as the display was either the wrong one or one that was not calibrated before leaving the factory.

disconnected cable from battery and screw and followed how to take off screen on a youtube video, I was carefully not to touch exposed circuit board but I was not grounded -wrist strap. I didn’t disable auto boot. Can I get this to work or is it Touch Bar dead?

I also shut down computer and turn on with any key on keyboard.

I have the same issue, is it due to display comptibility?

More-likely due to mis-handling.
