CPUs & Platform controller hub die temperature_New SDD

Hi Together, I have changed HDD to SSD, was careful. Now I see that “Mac Fans Control” shows higher temperature of both CPUs and Platform controller hub die. I had impression that fan is running on quite minimum speed while I feel bottom of the Mac is getting hotter at place when fan is installed. Do you have an idea what could go wrong? Many thanks!

I find MacsFanControl app is to easy to misuse and from a diagnostics perspective it doesn't offer a good visualization of the data. The newer and Pro versions are a bit better, even still I find TG Pro better! The paid version offers logging so you can trace out your temps over time which MacsFanControl is not able to do.

Install TG Pro, size the apps window so all of the sensors are visable (temp & fan) and take a snapshot posting it here for us to see Adding images to an existing question

Hi Dan, many thanks for your hint. I bought TG Pro and just run now my Mac with AutoBoost function. If I was running without it my fan was running on minimum. This way it starts automatically cooling down. I attach current screen when I was transferring some pictures while PC was busy. Have a look. Thanks for any further hint. In my opinion Mac is not really activating from itself a fan therefore CPUs get hotter. With AutoBoost of TG Pro seems all good, but hopefully I don"t do any harm to hardware?... Thanks for your support!

It looks like TG Pro got you going!

Fan still seams to be running hard. You do appear to be missing the last four sensors thermal sensors in your capture. You’ll need to resize the window so the text is smaller and adjust the length is long enough to show all of the sensors in one snapshot.
