What's wrong with the power button?

When I take the top shell off the power button on the power board works, and even when the shell is sitting ontop the button works. However, when I screw the shell together the button no longer works and it doesn’t go as far in. The spring is still there, could it need a replacement?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Something might have ‘‘bloated’’ in the cover (Contraction Dilation) through time, preventing the button for going all the way through.

Since it was released sometime back, I assume you are out of warranty (lol).

You can try pinpointing what’s blocking the button and then sandpapering it thinner, or even cutting through it, to ensure clear passage for the power button.
