Why won't it turn on?

So my chromebook has been working fine. A week or so ago I plugged in my power adapter and it shut off. Now it won't turn back on. What should I do?

Remove the RAM from back of the Laptop, clean the contact points with an eraser and put it back. check if this solves the problem.

You could have a bad battery pack with one or more bad cells. When the battery is connected and you power the laptop, it draws too much juice and the charger dies.

First things first, you can just remove the battery and try reboot or test it with a different battery.

Chances are, you could have a bad power adapter or a bad motherboard as well.
