Water Damage, can't get reception

I had some water damage on my phone and I've opened up the logic board and cleaned up all the gunk. I've changed the screen and the home button and everything is working fine except that my phone can't get reception. The phone recognizes the sim card because I can see my phone number on it. It searches for a network and sometimes find T-mobile or ATT but never connect. By the way, I can use bluetooth, wifi, and the speakers work.

I'm not sure if it is a software or hardware problem at this point. I'm with T-mobile so I had to JB my phone. I'm in a JB 4.1 with 06.15.00 baseband.

Thanks

your antenna is on the dock connector, if you haven't cleaned that or replaced it this might be the source of your problem. the 3gs also has a gold wing on flex 7 that helps reception as well as the one on the motherboard..make sure they are both making contact with the metal bezel of the phone
