Use a Core Duo LCD on my Core 2 Duo MacBook?

I'm getting tonight for cheap a Macbook Core Duo that I'm scrapping for parts to fix a Core 2 Duo Macbook.

Anyone know if the LCD screen / display housing from the Core Duo would be compatible with a Core 2 Duo?

I know the keyboard is compatible... wasn't sure about the display. I have to replace a bad display, damaged display housing, and a keyboard.

Thanks for the help!

The screen itself is exactly the same. The antenna cable may or may not be different (3 connectors instead of 2?) You can always switch the Airport card, if that means you don't have to bother swapping the Airport cable. And the inverter cable will likely be different as well (4-wall instead of 3-wall), but like I mentioned the good news is you can swap that stuff out from your old machine to the new, so I don't think your situation presents any dealbreakers.

You can actually use the two antenna cables on a three pin airport. Just connect the outer ones an leave the middle one blank.

Thanks Remacberlin, that's good to know! Is the signal strength just as good when the antenna is connected that way?

Thanks for the tip remacberlin. Leaving the middle pin black on the airport worked like a charm.
