Touch ID doesn't work after screen replacement

Hello, I have a question. Recently I broke screen in my iPad air 2 and today I decided to replace it, I bought 3-rd party screen replacement (from china) and after replacement everything works fine except touch ID, I’m sure that I didnt rip any cable, touch ID is original paired with this board.

Is this my fault or apple blocked posibility to replace screen with 3rd party one ?

Thanks for any help

3rd party screens are fine. In fact I think there are only original screens available on this model.

There will either be :

  • Original replacement screen (Brand new, not refurbished)
  • Refurbished screen (Original display, but the glass is a replacement aftermarket one)

Either the connector for the home button on the screen is no good or the home button ribbon cable flex is damaged in some sort of way most likely only visible under microscope.

If the old screen is good enough to display and use touch see if touchID works on the old one. Remember to disconnect battery first with a thin plastic card or pry tool as shown in the iFixit guide to avoid blowing the backlight circuit on these when handling the display connectors.
