Beats won't turn on unless charging

Having a really frustrating issue with my Beats Solo 2 wireless headphones. They will only turn on when they are being charged, as soon as I take them off charge, they won't turn on or connect. Randomly, yesterday they just started working again for a few hours (audio was absolutely fine) and have now stopped again.

I have tried resetting them and all combinations of holding power and volume buttons for both 10 seconds and 120 seconds and now change. I have ensured my firmware is up to date and replaced the battery but no joy.

Any ideas?

I’m having the same problem. They won’t connect unless I put them on the charger. Now, I would use them while they are on the charger. yes, they would be on my head and connected to the cable. I have no choice at this point.

Have you solved the problem? I just opened a new beats and they work only when they are in charge, as soon as i unplug they turn of! Help please

Hi @jenueu,

Can you turn on the headphones without the charger being connected?

If not or even if you can, try replacing the battery and check if that resolves the problem. There are other suppliers online that may suit you better. Just search for Beats Solo 2 battery to get results
